Why is VBC free?

You're probably looking at this site thinking, "There's no way this could really be free counseling! Counselors charge $80-$125 per hour for counseling. There MUST be some kind of catch to this." Well, there's not. The decision to make VBC free came from one central idea. There are thousands of people that want counseling but can't afford it. So, they never seek help. VBC alleviates the worry that comes from knowing you need help, but having the constant concern that you can't afford it. Or even worse, being able to afford a few sessions, but just when you start to work on the concerns that brought you to counseling, you realize you can't afford to continue. VBC allows you to diligently work on the "tough stuff," without the nagging concern of how you will ever pay for the help you're accessing.

Because VBC is free, the quality and professional counseling sessions you receive are not in any way diminished. Your entire experience will be just as effective as face-to-face counseling and much more convenient.
